Classic and Elegant card

Hi just wanted to post this card I made. It's part of the on line card class I'm taking over at www.OnLineCardClasses.com. It was so fun and simple to make.

Card making again

Yes, I've been away a long time. I have continued to make cards for friends and family for special occasions. I follow several card making blogs and utubers. I feel it's time to refocus. Time to be a bit more creative with my card making and scrapbook page layouts. I really like mixed media. Maybe it's because it gives my license to make a mess with paints and inks, and not worry about making a mistake.

I recently made a card for a friend that I'll share with you. I used distress inks to watercolor the background and stamp the image. I really like to soft effect .

My goal is to spend time in my studio every day creating. I'll post projects as I do them even sharing those that may not be my favorite.

So for today I'll post the card I made this morning.

My tags for the swap are done

I had a blast making these. I learned that working with feathers can be tricky. Once I figured out how not to get them to stick to my hands it sure made things a lot easier. I'll be mailing my tags to Laura from "Following the Paper Trail" on Friday. Hope you like them. Let me know what you think.

No I haven't fallen off the planet

Life has been busy! I want to start up with my blog again, so I'll tell you what I've been up to. I have entered a tag swap from The paper trails Laura Denison. I have to create 9 tags in the "grunge" style. I have 3 completed. I'll post a photo when all are completed.
I have just ordered my Project Life kit from Becky Higgins, I really can't wait to start that! I've been spending time after school with the kids and running them to their activities. Our puppy Lexi is now a year old, and keeps me busy and entertained throughout the day. Life is good! My promise to myself is to get more involved with other craft bloggers and eventually be accepted to a design team. I'll be posting photos of all the crafty things I create! Speaking of that gotta fly and get may hands into an inky mess! Thanks Tim Holtz for all the awesome inks!!!

Another Wedding card made from the invitation

These are so much fun to make! All in had to do was match the beautiful fall leaves from the invitation to gorgeous fall colored textured card stock. I cut up the fall leaf pattern from the invitation and created a 5 x 5 card and matching envelope. With a few stamps, and silver and cream ribbon hocus pocus at wedding card! I think it turned out very pretty. Let me know your thoughts

Recycle, Reuse, What's old is now new!

Hi
My sister asked me to make a wedding card from the wedding invitation. I said ok, send it to me and I'll see what I can do. The invitation was very pretty. It had many elements on it: White embossed outside, black and white patterned paper inside, black ribbon, and deep red ribbon, also it had a tag with the bride and grooms name.
After cutting up, stamping, gluing, bows and bling, here is what I'm sending back to her. I had to make the envelope for the card as well as it's a 5x 5.5 card, so I decided to use elements of the invitation on that as well. I love the results, and a huge thanks to my sister for asking me to do this.

If you have been invited to an event and need a card for it, why not send me the invitation and I'll create a personal card for you too!!
