Hurricane Irene
Just got our power back after 36 hours! Tons on trees and poles down. Clean up underway. Thank God we only lost power, and had a generator so kids could at least watch movies or play WII and we could keep fridge and chest freezer running. The kids school is delayed not sure when they will start, they were supposed to go back tomorrow. My sister in CT is still waiting for her power to come back, hopefully she will have it soon.

MPS Service Project
I just had to participate in the Service Project. The cause is so worthy. This will be my very first entry into a challenge, and I can't think of a better one to enter. To see details about the service project you can to http://www.mypinkstamper.com/ My hat goes off to the nurse who is putting this all together.

I can't wait to enter another challenge.

Christmas in August!
I've been making Christmas cards! Yes, that's right! I love all the papers and ribbons that are out right now for the holidays. Below is just one of the cards I had fun creating.
My Mom has pre-ordered cards from me to take back to sunny Florida. I was happy to create them for her!
Recipe:
Red Card Stock from Recollections
Green Card Stock from Recollections
Pattern paper from Recollections "Bright and Jolly"
Christmas tree cut using Potpourri Basket Cricut Cartridge
Peace stamp from Inkadinkado "Warm Holiday Wishes"
Around the edges of the green card stock I used a white gel pen to add dimension to the card
Green glitter paper from Recollections Signature paper line
Ribbon from Recollections
On the Christmas tree I used Stickles "Star Dust"
I have others I've made for her that I will post later. One is a very unexpected color!
