I' ve been busy making holiday cards and putting them up on my Etsy shop. So many beautiful papers out there to work with!! If you have a specific type or theme of card you'd like to send, let me know and I can get with you to discuss details for the perfect holiday cards for you to send to family and friends.
See you for now!

Another Wedding card made from the invitation

These are so much fun to make! All in had to do was match the beautiful fall leaves from the invitation to gorgeous fall colored textured card stock. I cut up the fall leaf pattern from the invitation and created a 5 x 5 card and matching envelope. With a few stamps, and silver and cream ribbon hocus pocus at wedding card! I think it turned out very pretty. Let me know your thoughts

Recycle, Reuse, What's old is now new!

Hi
My sister asked me to make a wedding card from the wedding invitation. I said ok, send it to me and I'll see what I can do. The invitation was very pretty. It had many elements on it: White embossed outside, black and white patterned paper inside, black ribbon, and deep red ribbon, also it had a tag with the bride and grooms name.
After cutting up, stamping, gluing, bows and bling, here is what I'm sending back to her. I had to make the envelope for the card as well as it's a 5x 5.5 card, so I decided to use elements of the invitation on that as well. I love the results, and a huge thanks to my sister for asking me to do this.

If you have been invited to an event and need a card for it, why not send me the invitation and I'll create a personal card for you too!!

Thank you cards

Hi

I have been making thank you cards for my sister to give out to all those who have helped her during the power outage due to hurrincane Irene. She is still out of power and they don't think it will be back on until Tuesday Sept. 6th. For all those in CT with no power I hope you've had the kind of help and support my sister has been receiving from her friends and family. Without power my sister can't take a peek!
This first card I made her a set of four. After talking with her today she wants another four of anything I want to make. The first card she told me she really liked slate blue, so I used that in the card.

The front of the card: Patterned paper by My Minds Eye Everday Tango stack
Card Stock used DCWV Shimmer Stack
I used Viva pearl pen in Ice white
Gem from Recollections
Sentiment stamp from Hero  Arts Everyday sayings
I like to finish the inside of the card and used the same MME paper stack.
The next card I got some inspiration from another website, I'll look for it and post a link. I modified the design a bit.
Paper used was still MME Everyday Tango
Stamp for girl from My Favorite Things "Cheers"
Used black Marcella ink to stamp image
I paper pieced her dress from the MME Everday Tango stack
Ribbon from Recollections, is used the Bow Easy to tie it.
Used Recollections punch to add interest.
Gems from Recollections
I colored hair, face body, shoes champagne with Artworks colored pencils (saving up to purchase copic markers, that's quite the investment!)
I added Glossy Accents to the champagne to make is shine.
I also finished the inside of this card.
Sentiments from Hero Arts Everyday Sayings, and instead of using black ink for the sentiment I used
Inkadinkado Coffee Bean.
Hope she likes them. I'm working on a few more and will post those when I'm done!

Hurricane Irene

Just got our power back after 36 hours! Tons on trees and poles down. Clean up underway. Thank God we only lost power, and had a generator so kids could at least watch movies or play WII and we could keep fridge and chest freezer running. The kids school is delayed not sure when they will start, they were supposed to go back tomorrow. My sister in  CT is still waiting for her power to come back, hopefully she will have it soon.

MPS Service Project

I just had to participate in the Service Project. The cause is so worthy. This will be my very first entry into a challenge, and I can't think of a better one to enter. To see details about the service project you can to http://www.mypinkstamper.com/ My hat goes off to the nurse who is putting this all together.

I have to figure out the lighting when I photograph these. This looks red but is really hot pink.
I can't wait to enter another challenge.

Christmas in August!

I've been making Christmas cards! Yes, that's right! I love all the papers and ribbons that are out right now for the holidays. Below is just one of the cards I had fun creating.
My Mom has pre-ordered cards from me to take back to sunny Florida. I was happy to create them for her!
Recipe:
Red Card Stock from Recollections
Green Card Stock from Recollections
Pattern paper from Recollections "Bright and Jolly"
Christmas tree cut using Potpourri Basket Cricut Cartridge
Peace stamp from Inkadinkado "Warm Holiday Wishes"
Around the edges of the green card stock I used a white gel pen to add dimension to the card
Green glitter paper from Recollections Signature paper line
Ribbon from Recollections
On the Christmas tree I used Stickles "Star Dust"

I have others I've made for her that I will post later. One is a very unexpected color!
